What do the Best Travel Luggage Locks Look Like?

Preventing tampering and keeping your luggage (and your peace of mind) safe is a vital, but often overlooked part of traveling. If you’re headed to the airport with your luggage and carry-ons or are just going across town, you might have a few things of value with you. The Lyon luggage lock will help ensure these items stay safe.

The best travel locks are the ones that keep it simple. When it comes to your security (and going through airport security), having a simple lock is an absolute game changer. A combination lock function that is easy to use guarantees there’s no chance you’ll lose an essential key. Weighing in at 2.5 ounces means your safe luggage will not be weighed down, which is essential for the pesky weight limit when checking in your bags. And finally, a good luggage lock needs to be made with some of the best material around. The Lyon is made of 100% zinc alloy, a very strong material that is often stronger than carbon steel in shear strength.

What is a TSA Approved Luggage Lock?

When traveling across the world, security agents are equipped with tools that allow them to open, inspect, and re-lock any bags secured with a TSA lock, without damaging either the bag itself or the lock. If you are curious about what a TSA lock looks like, look for the red diamond (as seen on the Lyon) which can be seen on any safe luggage that is TSA-accepted.
